For a little while, my friend Gary Olson joined me here at Windypundit, filling the role as a media critic of sorts. What he was doing here with hotheads like me and Joel, I can’t exactly say. Basically, I read his old blog, Gary on TV (and stuff) and I liked the way he wrote. I didn’t always agree with what he said, of course, but he said it well, and that’s important. I thought he deserved more exposure than he was getting.
Gary is well-qualified to be a media critic: In addition to his degree in speech and the performing arts, he has the most impressive home theater system of anyone I know. He was into Laserdisc video before Laserdisc video was cool.
