Larry Gelbart is probably best known for writing and directing the TV series giants of comedyA while back, I wrote about my list of the Laughing Matters: On Writing M*A*S*H, Tootsie, Oh, God!, and a Few Other Funny Things. , but if you can find it at the library or used bookstore, I highly recommend it.It’s out of print
Larry Gelbart died Friday morning after a long battle with cancer. He was 81. The world is a whole lot less funny without him. Thankfully, we still have his comic legacy.
