A Betrayal of Green Card Holders

January 28, 2017 By Mark Draughn Leave a Comment

Apparently, thanks to an executive order by Donald Trump, the United States is betraying its green card holders. The bans affect travelers with passports from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen and even extends to green card holders who are granted authorization to live and work in the United States, according to a Department of Homeland Security spokeswoman. … [Read more...] about A Betrayal of Green Card Holders

Trump v.s. Immigration

August 18, 2015 By Mark Draughn 3 Comments

Rather than use the abbreviated description in the email, I'll use the slightly wordier summary on the Whitehouse web site: FACT SHEET: Fixing our Broken Immigration System so Everyone Plays by the Rules "So … [Read more...] about Taking a Look at Obama’s Immigration Reform

Bringing a Family Home

April 17, 2011 By Mark Draughn Leave a Comment

A friend of mine has a son who has serving in a branch of the U.S. military. While stationed at a base in another country, he met a young woman. One thing lead to another, nature took its course, and they got married. Shortly thereafter, they had a baby daughter. Then his overseas assignment ended, and he was ordered back to the United States. That's when things got … [Read more...] about Bringing a Family Home
