Crybaby Attorneys General

May 16, 2007 By Mark Draughn Leave a Comment

Yesterday, officials at MySpace refused to turn over the names of users who were registered sex offenders to the attorneys general of several states. According to a USA Today story: Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal on Tuesday blasted MySpace for refusing to share the information and said no subpoena is needed for MySpace to tell the attorneys general how many … [Read more...] about Crybaby Attorneys General

Ron Paul Fumbles the Ball for the Libertarian Team

May 16, 2007 By Mark Draughn 3 Comments

I didn't watch the Republican debates, but it sounds like it went about how I'd expect, only worse. As a libertarian, I'm interested in seeing how well Ron Paul does. He's one of the few successful politicians who can hear about a new problem in the world and not immediately … [Read more...] about Ron Paul Fumbles the Ball for the Libertarian Team

Gas Out Day

Gas is now over $3.00 a gallon in most places. There are 73,000,000+ American members … [Read more...] about Gas Out Day

"Target has realized, I think, with the passage of time, increased costs and the pending lawsuits, it doesn't make economic sense for them to proceed under our own redevelopment … [Read more...] about Good News In the International Plaza TIF Battle

Jury Duty: Followup

May 14, 2007 By Mark Draughn 1 Comment

My long tale of last year's jury duty (Voir Dire, Testimony, Verdict, Reflections) just drew a comment from a public defender named Bill: [Note: In all accounts of this trial, I'm using fake names for the people and locations.] While I can't second guess your decision, since I didn't hear all of the evidence, it surprises me how important you felt that Jose claimed the cop … [Read more...] about Jury Duty: Followup
