Laptop Search and Seizure Made Easy

August 4, 2008 By Mark Draughn 2 Comments

Do you realize that despite Fourth Amendment's right to be secure against unreasonable searches and seizures, government agents can still stop U.S. citizens and search through all our possessions without a warrant, cause, or even suspicion, but just because they want to? It's true. All you have to do is cross the border. I've never really understood this. I'm under the … [Read more...] about Laptop Search and Seizure Made Easy

Just Stop Terrorizing People

It took me a while to figure out what was happening, but I eventually traced it to the script from … [Read more...] about What Hath Sitemeter Wrought?

The Lima Raid – Why He Shot

August 1, 2008 By Mark Draughn 3 Comments

Oh my God. I had no idea. I've been criticizing the Lima, Ohio SWAT team for killing Tarika Wilson, an unarmed woman who was holding her infant son as the team raided her house. In my last post on the subject, I mentioned that the cops also shot the family dogs, which seems to be a favorite sport of SWAT teams. In my very first post on the Lima raid, I wrote this: As SWAT … [Read more...] about The Lima Raid – Why He Shot
