It just feels like way too many of my posts are really long, including several that are in the pipeline. I have got to start writing more short posts. That is all.

Forget the MTV generation, short attention span bullshit. Write as long as you need!
Thanks, but some of them just get ridiculous. And writing really long posts takes a lot of time, which often means that the idea that launched it has gone stale. I mean, my first response to Tim Kreider’s “Slaves of the Internet, Unite!” op-ed didn’t come for more than 7 weeks because it turned into a 3-part 4000-word series that included two interviews!
It’s really not about the actual length of the posts. Some of them are so long because I’m trying to cram too much into them, and that’s bad writing.
