How Should Ted Cruz Judge People?

December 10, 2013 By Mark Draughn 3 Comments

I’m not going to try to defend Senator Ted Cruz, but…

Lizz-Winstead-Racism

Because I hate unsearchable text in images, let me repeat that:

“It’s interesting Ted Cruz is off to pay respect to the 1st South African black president & yet shows such a profound lack of respect for his own.”

— Lizz Winstead

Quick question for Lizz (and Steve Marmel, where I found this): Did you really mean to complain that Ted Cruz isn’t judging presidents by the color of their skin?

I can’t think of a single comment he’s made that warrants this statement.

I don’t really know anything about Ted Cruz, but I don’t need to know anything about Ted Cruz to know that it’s a little misguided to suggest he should treat Obama and Mandela the same because they’re both black.

Lizz Winstead needs to realize that her comment suggests a great deal about her simplistic attitudes towards race while failing to make a coherent point about Sen. Ted Cruz.
