I’ve been blogging about legal issues for several years now, and I’ve learned a lot about lawyers and law firms and legal marketing, and I’ve earned the trust and respect of the legal blogging community. Now it’s time to leverage that for my benefit.
To that end, I’ve joined as a silent partner on a new extreme project.
Update: For those of you reading this out of context: It’s an April Fool’s Day joke.

How much work did you put into this? Wow.
Mark Draughn says
It’s hard to say. I started it months ago, I think back when I was taking care of my dad. Every now and then I’d read about some new marketing goofiness and add a litte bit to it. I didn’t really have a plan, and I think it shows, but I eventually realized I could get at least one blog post out of it.

Mark:
Nice site. I’ll have to bookmark it for later use.
Mark Draughn says
Thanks Eric, but I can only gape in awe at your effort and the reactions to it. I am not worthy.

Congrats: you successfully punked both me and Patrick.
We deleted your comment with the link to this initially, then re-instated it when we realized it would be funny to show a sleazy legal marketer commenting on our post, never once realizing that it was a satirical site. And a damn funny one. Well done.

Hey Ken, thanks for stopping by, and thanks for calling it “damn funny.” I couldn’t decide between obvious jokes and might-just-be-real irony, so the result is something of a mixed bag. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
For whatever it’s worth, I don’t really think this rises to the level of punking. I originally just put it together for the heck of it, then I realized I could use it for an April fools post, and then I realized that a site like this needed spam marketing. Basically, I did something annoying, and you were annoyed, so you deleted it. That’s not especially tricky on my part.
